Works for Me Wednesday... Sinus Miracle

I'm joining the Works For Me Wednesday Group. Every Wednesday bloggers from all over talk about something good they have found that "Works for them". So, today I'm telling you about my miracle friend. The Neil Med Sinus Rinse First let me tell you, I have SERIOUS sinus issues. I've had two sinus surgeries and have chronic acute sinus infections. I will spare you the gross details, although some of you know how miserable it gets for me from time to time. Well, as it happens, today is a BAD sinus day. I could hardly wait to leave choir tonight to get home and rinse out my head. What a relief in minutes. Now I know, some of you are saying, "OH yeah, I use a nettie pot". Well I used to do that, and this is a nettie pot on steriods. I never had the relief and results with that like I do with this little wonder
I used to make my own mixture of baking soda and salt, but this comes pre-mixed and ready to go with me. Very convient. I LOVE this and it has saved me from having surgery again...I truly believe it. My allergist and ENT swear by it. Now, Becky, if you skulking around here... you better pipe in and give a big AMEN here. I know you love it like I do.

I almost bought one of these yesterday. Really?? It works that well?? Does it help to combat colds - or allergies - or ...??

I was using nasal gel Zicam but have recently stopped because of concerns surrounding loss of smell. I'd love to do something new b/c i know colds begin in the nose >> and have been holding out for a neti pot. I may have to go back to the drugstore now!!

Thanks for the WFMW tip! I think I'll have to pick one up, my allergies are horrible and I've already had one surgery myself.

Seriously... it is so much cheaper than surgery and really helps to flush allergens out of your nasal passages. What happens to me is... sorry to be gross, I just can't blow that stuff out of my head and this flushes it right out. Now when I feel like am getting a sinus infection...if I start rinsing ALOT it clears the stuff out and I have been spared from having to take antibiotics all the time because that "gunk" is out of my head and not getting infected.

I will check into this. I have sinus issues also and most stuff I can't take because of kidney disease. Would any pharmacy have it? I'll check at Walmart - thanks for sharing

i have serious sinus issues too. you should try grapefruit seed extract, in a nasal spray. the instant i have any pressure or sinus issues, i start using the stuff. i haven't had a sinus infection for years.
